Artificial Grass! – PLEASE get in touch with us BEFORE making a booking!

Unfortunately, although an inflatable can “technically” be put onto artificial grass, due to the legal requirements of securing a bouncy castle it just isn't usually feasible for us to do so.

A standard sized children's bouncy castle has at least 6 safety anchoring points.

When a bouncy castle is on standard grass, we use pegs/stakes to secure it into the ground.

This is to ensure that the bouncy castle cannot move, providing the wind is below 24mph.

On artificial grass, we are unable to securely peg your bouncy castle down - On the rare occasion a customer wouldn’t mind their artificial grass being left with holes through it, the pegs are often not secure enough below the surface, as under artificial grass it is often a mixture of hardcore/rubble as opposed to soil.

The other option we have is to use sandbags!

The law states that for the outdoor use of inflatables, EACH anchor point requires 163kg when using sandbags to weigh it down – each sandbag weighs just 25kg!

With the castles having a MINIMUM of 6 anchor points each, we would need 978kg of sandbags to legally and safely secure our standard castles.

For us as a company, so that our vehicle is legally load bearing, it is not feasible to load a delivery for just one castle at a time with all the sandbags, let alone the weight of carrying it all for the delivery driver!

We are fully aware that “some” other companies are happy to break the law by using less weight and risk your safety to make a quick buck, but we pride ourselves on our 22 years of safe trading and if that means not being able to accept a booking to abide by health and safety legislation and to keep you safe then we adhere to it.

PLEASE, if you have any doubt about the ground you are having a castle on, the size of it or the material please just CALL us to double check! The last thing we want to do is spoil your day by not being able to leave the inflatable because we were not aware of your surface.

You can call us, send us a photograph or Facebook message and we will always do our best to find a solution, if there is a safe one possible.
